Because the world I am playing in at present, started out empty, it takes a while for children to populate it, which left my kids lonely. I created a complementary family and placed them in town, The children became best friends. The teens started dating. He took her to the Prom. The parents got married. The teens stopped dating. I figured that out by allowing near-relation romance/woohoo. The second school dance is coming up. The children are now teens and the toddlers are children, but the teens cannot ask their partners to the Prom. They can Romance and Woohoo, the I don't see the "Ask To Prom" option coming up. Am I impatient or do I need to adjust something. I'm afraid of them attending and being paired up with some random NPC followed by jealousy.

Not sure, but that one may still be blocked by the game core due to the sims being seen as near relations. Would it not be a good idea to just not send them to the second prom? The game does push them to go a couple of times, but it's not mandatory to allow it.

I'm going to let them go. Both couples are going steady. I'll see what happens.

BTW. Do you actually play the game, or spend 100% of your day cruising message boards?

Sorry, but the same forces that prevent me from ever revealing my true identity would be the ones that also disallow me from discussing what it is I really do all day long.

The went to the prom. No limo. A bunch of generic prom messages. No new girlfriend/boyfriend. No thrilling their date with their dance moves, or getting drinks all night long. It's like they went stag and stayed that way.

In my experience, step-siblings in the same household are blocked from doing anything to further their existing romantic relationships.
