Small town, lots of townies related, i want to get of rid of some of our family legacy - in my 4th gen, some of my ffamily have gone on to 5!
I know i can use SP emigration but that keeps less data/relation than traveler, right?
how can i spread some of my big family out across different towns and if i go there they will be there?
lol once u use mods u can never go back - u know it might be possible to do very complicated things to keep the game as realistic as possible. i

Emigration to other towns
SP emigration is like EA-managed emigration in that the sims are permanently gone from the game. You might notice some stray data floating around, but it wouldn't be enough to bring the sims back in any usable form.
If you want some of the households to move to another world but still be accessible in your current save, you'll need to travel to that other world. You could make one of these households in current world A active and travel the sims to new world B, or you could travel a different household to world B and then use MC to add the sims while you're still playing world B. There's no way to send sims to live in world B while you're currently playing in world A.

It'd be interesting to actually be able to set up SP to "emigrate" households into other worlds in the save file - would that be possible to do?

cuttlesquid - That is not currently possible. We can pull sims into foreign worlds as residents with MC > Add Sim > Homeworld > (filter to homeworld), but we can't push them out to a specific inactive world. They would have no world or home to live in because the game engine can only simulate one world, the one being actively played or edited, at a time.
That's why SP's emigration feature matches EA's in that it takes sims out of their current world and out of the game entirely.
So one way to do this is to travel or transition gameplay (travel with no sims on board) to world B and then use MC to pull sims in from World A. Then after you get them situated, travel or transition gameplay back to World A.
