Sorry to cut in here, but may I ask why Traveler and Register are not in play? Traveler for its ability to cut through many travel transition related issues on any such trips and Register because the error shared concerns the failed attempts to spawn and use a Service Sim NPC -- although for the latter, yes it would be best to remove the Bar Maid mod as well at least for now.

The script error was coming from the Bar Maids mod when it clashed with SP's Money module it's one I had seen before and the skillset on that NPC is what gave it away. Also Register and Bar Maids can't be used together either. If they decide to put Bar Maids back in they'd have to remove Register anyway.
I did forget to ask about Traveler good catch.

Just to clarify, I don't think the bar maid service mod was the reason for the script error I posted, at least not directly. I hired a mixologist for a birthday party, which now that I think about it was absolute chaos as twice as many people showed up than I invited and the mixologist disappeared at some point a couple hours into the party. I can't recall ever using the bar maid service so it was an easy decision to get rid of.

Anyway, after clearing out my mods folder of everything except NRaas mods, completely clearing out family inventory and the inventories of my two traveling sims, I was finally able to complete a successful travel to Egypt. (On a side note, I need to figure out why my medical career sim has 4 beepers.) Today I'll be adding mods back in and testing for more crashes.

If I remember correctly that's the game trying to generate a Tourist and failing installing Register should prevent that.

Hmm. I wonder if the now removed barmaid mod left something unwanted behind. Is the error a one-time thing or does it keep happening? Is Register working otherwise, meaning do Role and Service Sims seem to be functioning as they should? If it's not a recurring error and everything seems to be working okay, it's probably (hopefully?) fine.

I wouldn't be surprised if it did. But good luck in getting TwilightStorm to admit to making a mistake he likes too blame everyone and everything else. Why I stopped using his mods.

It would be disappointing if that mod were the cause, considering I don't think I ever actually used it and I only had it installed because it was bundled with other mods.

So far this error is popping up immediately every time I load this particular save file. When you say Role and Service sims, what are some examples of those? As far as services go, I think for this playthrough I've only used pizza delivery and mixologists.

Service Sims are homeless NPCs who come to a sim's house (usually) to perform services. Examples include maids, babysitters, butlers, mail/ newspaper/ pizza delivery, repo and social workers. Some special types are the Grim Reaper and the Time Traveler.

Role Sims work assigned to role giving objects in town. Examples include cash register attendants, mixologists in bars (not the kind that come to your house to staff a party), bouncers, tattoo artists, festival booth workers, with some special global types like the Paparazzi, Uni Mascot, and I think the Science Nerd. Role Sims can be homeless NPCs or residents.

It doesn't matter if your active households use them or not, both types of sims are in any world and the systems that control them, modded or plain vanilla EA, need to be functioning correctly for our worlds to work properly.

The barmaids would have been some kind of custom Service Sims, I guess? Again, it doesn't matter if you ever used or called upon them yourself as you control the active household if there is a system managing them some other place in the world.

Are you saving this game in between? I mean, if you are loading up exactly the same game that was last saved some hour or day in the past, then yes I would expect the error to show up every time. What I meant was, if we let some game clock time pass beyond the error (play for a while then do a Save As) does it stop?

What I've been doing since yesterday is essentially trial and error loading up a copy of my most recent save and attempting to travel to France, China, or Egypt to try and get around the crashing. I'll try letting it run for a day or two and see if I get more errors.

This may or may not be relevant, but the last time I went to the future, the Time Traveler died from old age but suddenly appeared again a day or so later. More recently, I hosted the party I mentioned with the mixologist and I invited the Time Traveler. The game actually crashed the first time I had the party after I tried resetting a paparazzi who was blocking the front door and preventing all the guests from entering. The second time around the party was a success but the Time Traveler never showed up and the mixologist disappeared at some point.
