Hi all,

I'm having my Sim travel to a custom world (North Bloomingdon by descargassims) with the plan of having her switch hometowns and live there permanently. When my Sim arrives, she is stuck in Map View. I'm not able to edit town, save, or even quit the game. I am using the .nhd from another save, btw. Error Trap isn't showing anything about traveling. I've used Traveler to move hometowns countless times and have never run into this issue.

Here is a screenshot. When I click on the menu options, there are only two things that pop up (Options and I can't recall the other, but no Save or Edit Town)

I may just give up and use a copy of the Sim instead, but I really want to keep her family tree. Thanks in advance!

Just to rule some things out, have you ever been able to properly travel to and from this custom world in another ongoing game? And as a test, what happens if you don't use the other save file's nhd and let a new instance of the world spawn upon arrival instead?

I've never tried to travel to this world from another world or game. I just tried traveling with a freshly spawned world instead of the save's .nhd and it had the same issue.

You might want to try again with a new test game and default (stock) sims, but if your travel transitions usually end up better than that then it sounds like it's the world that might be at fault.

Ah, that's what I was afraid of. I'm trying to travel to the save .nhd from another world in another game, but I'm guessing that won't work either then. I'll confirm either way though.

Yup, same thing in another game so it must be an issue with the world. Too bad, guess I'll just have to lose the family tree. Thanks for your help!

Wasn't there another mod causing this symptom prior? Have you tried with just ours?

I haven't, but like I said I use traveling a lot in this game and have never had this issue before.

One quick question: do you think adding a base camp to the world could fix this issue? I'm guessing not, but...

Probably not since there seem to be plenty of unoccupied lots for the visiting travelers to stay if they could end up on the correct landing screen. Usually getting stuck on arrival looks more like the regular arrival screen with the "where would you like to stay?" question coming up but no viable choices on the map being presented. That isn't what is being shown here.

But you don't have much to lose by giving it a try.
