Sims 2 style neighbourhoods

I bet this has been asked before but I'm still doing it, lol.

One of the things I loved about Sims 2 was the separate shopping district neighbourhood. I use traveller to travel to different worlds for a few days vacation but has anyone worked out, or does it have the feature to just visit somewhere for a few hours to shop and have a meal, etc. I was that weirdo who didn't mind loading screens, I just stuck the kettle on. Sims 3 takes a bit longer to get back to the home world from a vacation world.

If this is feasible i would build shopping districts and night life districts.

You can travel wherever and return home when you want to using the phone. You may have to enable cheats and CTRL click the recovering from vacation moodlet off to travel again soon. I think it may only apply that with EA WA worlds though.

Yeah I know, I use it to go away for a couple of days. I think it's the load times there and back that bother me, can't remember if loads were as long in S2 but they likely were. Been thinking about this and I'm going to build a couple of small worlds as shopping and leisure and try it, that's the only way to work out feasibility. Thanks for repeatedly answering my stupid questions, I'm very old, lol
