So I've been trying to get my sims into university multiple times but every time the game just gets stuck on an endless loading screen. I have tried travelling to university via edit mode (I read somewhere that that might be a fix), but that didn't work either. Would this travel mod possibly fix that problem?
fyi I'm 5 generations into my game and it worked fine when I was playing in my first and second generation, so maybe that has something to do with it?

The EA travel code is very glitchy and full of bugs. NRaas Traveler replaces the travel code and re-enables the script error logging, so if the travel system fails, the logs will help to track down the problem. I never travel anywhere without NRaas Traveler!

That is actually the primary purpose of the Traveler mod -- work together with ErrorTrap and Overwatch to smooth out travel transitions and make them successful at least 99% of the time. All of the other wonderful things it does for us beyond that, like opening up travel options to other installed worlds, are bonuses.
