Question about deceased Sims

Post by weis » July 27th, 2021, 12:18 pm

Hello, so, I had a question about graves/deceased sims and pets, if I move towns the traveler way, and I have gravestones in my sim's inventory (the deceased sims and the pet in question were played in the household) will something happen with the deceased sims and the deceased pet? or will everything go according to plan? Sorry if this was pointed out somewhere, I searched for an answer but couldn't find it :)

Question about deceased Sims

If you mean by "go according to plan" that the sims will stay dead and their gravestones will be usable in the same way as they are in the current world, yes, that's what's supposed to happen. In fact, I think at least a few players do this regularly: they place the ghosts in a graveyard or on the home lot in the new world, and things get more or less back to normal.

Having said that, any time you're going to do something as massively impactful as switching hometowns, it's a good idea to first do a dry run and see what happens. Sometimes you'll find a one-off glitch you can ignore, sometimes you'll realize that some feature isn't going to work as you'd hoped, and you'll inevitably forget something you totally meant to do. So not only is there no harm in testing things out, it's better to do so than to expect that the process will be perfect the first time around.

Yeah, that's what that phrase meant, thank you! I was scared that something was gonna happen to those deceased sims, and I always ''save as'' before doing something as big as a move, thanks again! :)
