Bad jam!

Post by KokosnootSpecerij » July 8th, 2019, 3:47 pm

I've encountered the invisible jam jars for the first time ever, even though I've had the station for a while, just barely used it. It happened when I put the house my active family was in, into the house bin. My sim now has invisible jars in his inventory, over 120 pieces of it.

I couldn’t sell them with MC as it was throwing errors and I also couldn’t purge them with MC (also throwing errors). I could only sell them individually, but there are so many.I just gave up and reloaded as it wasn’t long ago that I saved.

My question is now what else could I have done? How do others deal with it to fix it after the jars become invisible? I there even something that can be done after the fact?

I'd recommend cleaning the luggage before moving or before saving the family to the library. In addition, especially for jam, there is a mod that will help you beautifully arrange it on the shelves.

That mod also fixes the bug but it probably has to be in place before you export.

IIRC DebugEnabler has an option to completely clear the inventory of a Sim. It might just give errors again, but still worth a shot.

I'm going to cast my vote for the Canning Station Overhaul mod as well. Am biased I guess because I was one of the beta testers on that one, but it does solve a lot of the bugs with that item that can otherwise creep in and ruin things in addition to the extra playable features it offers.
