Can I make a teen sim go to college?
I knew I'd read about this somewhere and it's on the Careers mod FAQ:
Teens may be enrolled in Uni at the Administration Center. But note:
Teens may be enrolled in Uni at the Administration Center. But note:
- The Traveler mod must be present and Traveler > Allowable Travelers on City Hall must include Teens. Even if no one is traveling, this is the mod and setting that unlocks Uni registration for that age group.
- The teens will still be high school students. The game regards schooling and its performance as one category but Academic (Uni) enrollment and performance as more of a career and the two are independent of each other. Therefore, if your teens are not Homeschooled (Careers mod Schools module) or on some sort of extended school vacation (SP Career module) at the time, they may have trouble with conflicting high school and college class schedules.

The above is correct, I send teen sims to enroll at Uni World all the time. If there are no older sims in the travel party, they would have to vacation to Uni World instead but then enroll at the Admin Building upon arrival. But regardless of where the university is located, it's the Traveler mod that has the setting (Allowable Travelers) that unlocks teen Uni registration.

I haven't needed to do this. I've sent teen only groups to EA's Sim University before and use the standard phone>enroll in university interaction to send them. I can enroll them that way without having to vacation to the uni world or enroll at the admin building there.
This is correct for teens enrolled at homeworld universities. If you are sending a teen to EA's Sims University you don't have to worry about high school since there isn't one in that world.Missy_Hissy wrote: ↑March 7th, 2019, 8:41 amThe teens will still be high school students. Sorry Trey, you've been correcting me on that for years and it never sinks in on my end. I guess we should say that if the standard phone/enroll interface doesn't work, there is also the option of trying the vacation then enroll at the Admin Bldg method. Perhaps what I am remembering was from a much earlier version of the Traveler mod.TreyNutz post_id=64289 time=1552017502 user_id=9877 wrote: I haven't needed to do this.
