Part-Time Jobs
I know teens can get part-time work after school, and elders can also get part-time jobs, but is it possible for YA/A to get a part-time job?

I'm going to go with "Yes"? Even if the part time job offers don't leap out at them from the newspaper, they should be able to apply for those jobs in person or be handed them using MC. SP won't assign them automatically though. Are you seeing something different?
In some worlds (Bridgeport), many pre-made YAs and some Adults seem to hold onto their part time jobs forever until or unless I step in and give them full careers. Maybe the same happens to some extent in other worlds, but it seems more noticable in the Big (Silly) City for some reason, as if everyone has more important things to do with their time than earn a sizable paycheck with bonuses so they can buy more expensive toys and send the kids they never asked for to the Uni of their choice. Or something cynical like that.

Part-Time Jobs
When I tell her to find a job via the computer, the regular jobs come up but they're full time, not part-time. I tried clicking on City Hall but no PT jobs showed up. I just clicked on the RH's such as the spa, grocery store etc and pt work does show up on these. I'll have her work at one of those places. Thanks for your help. I'm finally at the stage of adding residents and getting them organized in Riverview. I kept most of the original residents but got rid of a few. My next problem will be who to play and what to do with them LOL

When/If all else fails, NRaas > MC > (Sim) > Intermediate > Career > Choose Job should provide the more complete list.

Do you have the Careers Part-Time module installed? That should give you quite a few additional part-time jobs at most of the base game rabbitholes.
Here's a link to the Careers Part-Time module on the Wayback Machine as I can't find it here at the moment.

Part-Time Jobs
I always loved Twallan' sense of humor about the Janitor part time job, "focusing on no skills." A bit insulting perhaps, but still strikes me as funny after all these years.

littlelambsy, I know this is coming late and you've been given several other options, but if you click on the places that give part-time jobs there is usually an offer to take that job regardless of your sims age. In other words, if you click on the spa or bookstore, you should have an option to get a part-time job at that place. I have a few sims I like to keep busy elsewhere that I give those jobs all the time. As far as I have ever seen they kept that part-time job until you change it, even when switching between homes. But I do think it may also depend on your sim's Lifetime Want, if it's something the game can easily give them, like surgeon or police work, then they might be given that job once they are no longer the active sims. But at least with things like, ark builder, or zoologist, those that don't have a specific job in game, they will tend to keep that part-time work.

Sarah... Thanks for the link. I do have the pt module installed. I didn't see pt options on the police station, city hall or the other major RH's I haven't checked them all but will do so next time I'm in game.
Igazor... LOL, it takes skill to clean out the trash cans and snoop through all those tossed memos.
JohnL83... I did notice pt jobs at the spa, bookstore and grocery store. Good to know they keep those jobs on rotation. Thanks

Littlelambsy - how is Riverview coming along? Have you completed setting everything up?
After reading your initial post about starting Riverview from scratch I considered doing something like that myself, (using either Riverview or Sunset Valley) but then Steam had a big sale and I bought another EP; Showtime and the High End Loft stuff pack. So I just started a new town in Starlight Shores which brings me to playing 6 different towns. LOL So that idea will be on hold for a time, but once I get tired of the others I still want to try a town from scratch. Thus I have been reading many of posts here so I can be ready for any and all things when that day comes. I have only 2 of the 6 towns I play that I am attached to, so once my original sims pass on in each game I will likely just send that towns file to purgatory (a file out of EA's locale) or just delete it. I have each of my families saved, some at the kids stage of life and others at the start of their relationships, so I was thinking when the time comes it would be fun to just have every family in one town together, including a few of the other sims and sim families I've created over the last year. Are you using all new sims or sims you have created over time?
