I can force adults to go to work but my child sims were all picked up in limos for boarding school and 3 were left behind...how do I get them to boarding school now?

That scenario has always been flaky. What you might have to do is remove them from the boarding schools using MC and enroll them again. I get more stressed by the possibility of them getting lost and never returning home, so prefer to never use those schools myself.

I got it by resetting the sims and re-enrolling them.
