fps capping for amd
Hi My friend is using amd video card and the fps usually stays below 40 but it does occasionally spike to 100 or higher especially in CAS or Edit tows mods. For Nvidia I used Nvidia inspector but what to do for amd?

The vendor tools for AMD cards are Catalyst Control Center (CCC) and/or Crimson. The first one doesn't work to cap the fps for me and I can't use Crimson, so like many others turned to RivaTuner Stats Server (RTSS).

Forgot to add, the odd thing about RTSS is that it must be running when the game is launched. It can bet set to launch with Windows and the resources it uses are minimal, but it can be easy to quit the application entirely by mistake after configuring it when it should be minimized. It's okay if it hides out where the hidden icons are near the system clock.
Sorry for the french, but it'll show you how to activate frequency control about your game with the Crimson drivers.
At first, you need to create a custom profile for this game (it isn't detected by default). And after that edit this profile:

What is your friend's graphic card ?

An R5 I'm surprised the game even runs with that card that card is exactly identical to the Radeon HD 5450 only with better RAM http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Gam ... quirements

The same, R5 series aren't good for games at all. And, I'm not sure there is any Crimson compatible for this series of card.
Actually, I have a Radeon RX-480 Gaming X 8G and the Crimson 17.3.3 driver. My Freesync monitor is set-up to 144Hz, wich don't annoy this game. The Sims3 seems to run pretty nicely. It wasn't the case with my old R9 380X ...

While it's true that the R5s and many of the R7s are underpowered for TS3, the fact remains that many players carry on with their games on them anyway at least as best they can. And left unchecked, their fps rates will wander all over the place, just not usually as rampantly as the more powerful cards. If Crimson cannot be used, I would again suggest RTSS but it sounds like that message already got through successfully.
