Question about Homeless/Service NPCs

Post by Deldhinor » March 13th, 2017, 4:32 pm

Hi everyone!
I have a question about Homeless/Service NPCs
If a Homeless/Service NPC sim gets either pregnant or "bitten" by a supernatural and it's about to change, Error Trap throws error scripts every 5 minutes. Looks like a sim try to go to work and resets, loop.
Does any one knows a way to find this sim? So it can be deleted?
I've upload a script also that shows this loop.

I wasn't aware that homeless/service/role sims could get pregnant. From what I've seen, there are always too many in their household to allow for pregnancy. If you want to get rid of a specific sim, I think it's safest to do a Total Annihilation on them after you find them. I'm not in game at the moment, but the path could be NRaas > Master Controller > Advanced > Total Annihilation > then sort by what type of sim you're looking to get rid of (service, role, etc.). It's always advised to do a new "Save As" before making an irreversible change to your game, just in case (if something goes wrong, you can revert back to a previous save).

Something else: If a pregnant sim is trying to go to work, and they don't have a uniform enabled for pregnancy, that could be another cause for errors.
I'm sure that someone who knows more about your specific script error will be along shortly. Maybe hold off on doing anything drastic for the time being.

The OP on this thread is actually a script modder. I think the problem is that they don't which sims are causing the errors as they aren't specified by name, not so much how to find them once they do know.

But @Deldhinor, I was curious about this too -- not sure about the bitten thing, but how is it that you are allowing Service Sims to be impregnated? I believe the "standards" (if you can call it that) would either disallow this from the beginning or force such a a sim to become a resident right away, thus enabling them to keep their pregnancy but then they will lose their service assignment immediately. The homeless "household" is not equipped to handle babies and toddlers.

Sorry, I know that's more questions than help but I suspect Chain and anyone else who can interpret that repeating error better might also need to know how this is even happening.

Actually Deldhinor was working with someone over HoT to make sure that Service and Homeless where excluded from pregnancy

But the script error looks like it coming from a Resort Worker you could TA all the Resort Worker's with MC
Or you could try MC>Sim>Status>Personal or Relationship (depending on what you need to find)>Type of Service
Use Personal to find the Sim if they got bitten by an occult
Use Relationship if pregnant

If they got bitten use MC>Sim>Status>Personal>Moodlet
And look for the Unusual Blemish or Once Bitten Twice Shy moodlets
http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Mood ... ims_3[/URL) click Activities and scroll down to Occult

@ Igazor This can happen for sure from mods. I had both cases and both did the same. A vampire autonomous bites a maid that comes, maybe from ferb vampire mod. Every time this maid was to go to work, I had the same script error over and over almost every 5 minutes. I saw the invent and I knew which maid was that and I delete it. ( Total Annihilation) The second one, was about pregnancy and it was a passion test. I test the pregnancy, by set it to 100% and autonomous again a worker NPC got pregnant and start all this again. I fixed passion pregnancy 1-2 days ago but there was no way to see witch sim is that to stop Error Trap trow errors. So I asked here if anyone knows a way to fund it, The only way to revert from such error was to start another saved game. Since now I have not find another way.

I have aligned passion with NR mods and specially Error Trap. Passion now has an unhandled reference checker and any null value of it triggers error trap to reset the sim and trow an error about the function that did it. Personally, it helped me A LOT!
@sittingbear Thanks for your suggestions. There is no way to see the moodlet because there is no way to see the sim. I suppose that is out of the world and resets when is about to enter it. The only way is Master Controller. I;ll test your suggestions. Thank you.

You should be able to see the moodlet as that pathway doesn't require the sim to be on the world map

@ Igazor If a mod if the only thing you check out pregnancy is only if the mother is pregnant, you will have results like this! The "standard" you say is that at least EA checks also the home lot of the sim. Passion had only pregnancy check and nothing further by it's creator. So any sim from any home lot could get pregnant. Since you call public classes from cores you can do almost anything you want. I include also errors of any kind!
