Dresser ValidParts Tuning File

Post by getjackdhu » April 9th, 2024, 6:09 am

Hi!
By making a dresser validparts tuning file, do I have to save every gender as a different tuning file, or if let’s say I’m making a medieval tuning file, I can save all genders and all ages in a single blacklist file?

it's in the same valid tuning package, means the one XML in it not different ones

You need to have clothes for all ages, gender and categories. at least 1 item each.

Also, do I have to change <invalidparts> in every single entry to <validparts> in tue exported blacklist? I have houndreds, it took almost a day too complete the selection, this would take another one😄

I am not on my computer, to see, how the parts shall look like, but you can open the XML you exported with a text editor like notepad++
simply use search & replace the tag, if needed

<invalidparts> to <validparts>
and also the closing tag with the Slash.
</invalidparts> to </validparts>

This only takes less than a minute :)

Tried this, replaced all entries with notepad++ from invalidparts to validparts, but once I add it to the dresser tuning package, all validparts revert back to invalid parts

Edit: solved it by making it ValidParts, instead of validparts. Capital letters do matter

Another question, will sims use all colors of a clothing set, or will they use only the first one?

Also, by adding ‘All’ to species, will it enable the tuning file for all species? It would take 6 times more to make a tuning file for all species haha

'Species' in this context refers to human(oids) and each type of pet, not the various occult types that human sims can be. With this in mind, no CASParts should generally be set to all species unless the goal is to see some very cursed sights :)
