I have a Number of Questions If you don't mind...

Hello!

I have a number of questions if a few of you don't mind answering 1 or 2 of them. I haven't played an actual game in about 2 years or more and I noticed somethings that I wanted to edit, and I wasn't sure which mod would stop/fix some of these things.

When I went to the gameplay FAQ & Tips page, a few of them said it wasn't available, so I'll start with those questions:
  • Housing (how to stop other sims from moving into empty homes)
I had my game set up perfectly and fit to each sim's story line, but they kept moving! (like, why would Landgrab moving into a townhome if they already have a huge house they can afford??!) What can I do to stop this?
  • Education Schools (crowding by doors)
I know there was a mod to stop this but for the life of me, I cannot remember, but if there's a mod that can stop this by nraas, I'd prefer to do that.
  • Cash register - general information.
When I opened this page on FAQ, I thought it would have an answer similar to what I wanted, but I guess not. I wanted to know if there was a way to set hours on the register (food register, roentgen register). I have some resident sims that tend registers, and I would love for them to eventually have a life (the cashier I have in mind is supposed to be one of my sims love interest), but I didn't notice that they stay there 24 hours a day. Is there a way to have an open & closed time for the register?

I know I have a few more as I play the game, but so far these are the questions I have most concern for the moment. Any advice would help!

Thank you!

If you want to stop a household from moving out of its current house, you need NRaas StoryProgression. Click on the house itself or its map tag and select NRaas > SP > Household Options > Household: Allow Move: as Family > False. Set Allow Move: Solo to True if you want individual members to be able to move out.

For the overcrowded school entrances, I would guess you're thinking of this mod:

Please read the instructions carefully, as there are multiple versions and some lots need to be edited.

For the 24-hour cash registers, maybe this discussion helps?

To add to the above,

What's likely happening with families moving homes is that they're failing a housing check, like not having enough beds or cribs, for their current circumstances or ones SP would like to push them towards (like spouses moving in, pregnancies, so on). The above options will solve that, but knowing that's why may help you make some adjustments to their home furnishings if you'd like to see that progression still happen.

And while the More Entry Points mod isn't by NRaas, rest assured that it's well beloved here and considered essential by a lot of us!

Lastly, a tuning mod is required to change the hours on the registers. I've always used the one linked in that discussion, bluegenjutsu's Merchant Work Hours- but if you're familiar with S3PE, you could also make your own.

I love to use SP's home inspection to keep my townies happy with enough cribs, beds etc. And when I do they don't move around too much, so it does work. The only annoying thing is that it also checks for pet beds and sims pets rarely even use them if you have them, so why make those a priority?
However, with babies they scream until they pass out on the floor, so giving them a crib is just humane to our little AI brats. :P And it's nice if teens don't have to share a bed, especially if they live in a mansion. It's another odd thing about EA's ideas and that is that the biggest mansions in some EA towns only have like one or two bedrooms and rarely any kind of nursery. I enjoy home decorating sometimes, so it's not a big deal, but I suppose it's not so great if you hate that part.

I've been working on my SP options today and saw that this could be toggled separately- from General Options > Options:Lots > Options:Inspection > Home Inspection Pet Beds :)

Hi! @puzzeaddict
Thank you for your help! Unfortunately, I did make those settings (I made it town settings) so I wonder if something is conflicting with the mod possibly? I will try household settings and see if that makes a difference. Thank you for the crowded mod, this makes me happy!

Hi! @Cardinalsims
I guess inactive sims still have a habit of getting on my last nerves because I made each house according to their story lines, so I think the inactives are organizing against me. Thank you for the merchant work hours, I will add this to my game imziatedly!!!

PS thank you I will change the pet bed setting too, hopefully they'll stop plotting against me then!

If I remember right the move can also be pushed by money Debt
https://www.nraas.net/StoryProgression- ... Move-Ratio

and also for Wealth.

And you can set Cool down between moves, default is 5 days.

You can find on the page too.

Yeah, I've been told about that, mine is set to not include pet beds, and yet I still get listings for homes without pet beds every time I do a "focus home inspection". So IDK if it's talking about the same inspection?
