I have no idea why but my Sims can't get through doors in an apartment building. Through the main door, the apartment door, and any other door on the lot. They just approach the door and the action disappears. Disabling moveobjects, resetting the lot etc doesnt work so I'm not sure what causes this. I put different doors instead, and while I managed to make the main door usable by placing it somewhere else, the other doors still dont work, same thing with arches etc. Its very annoying and I didnt find anything about this online that has any solutions...

Assuming MasterController is in play (MC Cheats module also required), on the lot in question click on the ground, then NRaas > MC > Object Stats > Not Inventory, and select everything with the word "jig" in it to Flush (force delete).

no... there's no objects that have .jig in them... i did try flushing the doors and placing them again to check and the sim went through the arch, but thatd be too easy and then she got stuck on another one and she cant move anywhere anymore lol. I dont know if thats the issue, but the doors, windows and the elevator door seem to be invisible apart from the frame sometimes? When I place them down, they mesh wrongly with the wall and the frame is visible but theres only the wall "inside" the door or, if its the arch, the wall instead of open space. I have to place it down again for it to go away, but whats strange about this lot is that it comes back right after. I already tried disabling moveobjects but it doesnt help much. This game is.. confusing...

This happens when you have moveobjects on when placing them. Grabbing and releasing them (press escape) will fix it, but as you've noticed it can come back. The only real solution is to turn off moveobjects after fixing.

But since you're using moveobjects, is it possible that you've placed items that aren't visibly in front of the doors, but are technically blocking them? Or are your doors too close to stairs? Maybe try moving the doors with moveobjects off, and see if they can actually be placed in that location.

yes, I disabled moveobjects, deleted all the doors and placed them again but sims still dont go through them. there are also no stairs around and I straight up deleted all the lights.. whats strange is that sometimes, when I place the door again the sim walks through it, but when they try again it doesnt work anymore. So at this point I'm out of ideas why this happens...

I have this happen sometimes on community lots, and it drives me crazy. The only way I've ever found to fix it is to get rid of all of the hidden room, level skip, and public room markers.

still nothing, she still cant get through the doors and turns into an eldritch monster when trying to sleep in a room she cant access... I may just have to accept my sim cant live in an apartment. Its sad since its pretty cool...

Is this every apartment? If not, what world and what lot?

its from a custom world which is why idk if this info will help. It could be that the apartment was inproperly built, but the problem only happens when its in that custom world, in any other world the lot works fine... I swear I do not understand that game
