I want to build a martial arts dojo in the gym, but the martial arts equipment is exclusive to China. How do I cheat so I can access it in my homeworld?

Doesn't the buydebug on cheat from the game's cheats console give you access to items like that within the special debug/cheats menu within Build/Buy Mode? (be sure to switch buydebug off again before trying to save or else errors can occur)

The martial arts objects, specifically, should be in buydebug as mentioned above.
There are a small handful of WA objects that aren't in either catalog, in which case you need a mod like Dandelionsprout's Unavailable Objects. Just in case you want to access those in the future

I've read this befoe but I never remember to turn buydebug off and I never have ill effects.

I don't recall ever having a problem after occasionally forgetting to switch it off myself. But that does not in any way mean that it is still safe for all players to do so.

While some save errors have the grace of bumping you back into the game to potentially fix the issue and try again, one of the potential buydebug errors is an infinite save ie. the game basically crashing in the save process and needing to be force quit. Perhaps the chances are increased by certain mods or expansion packs debug content, but that's something to better be safe than sorry about. Losing progress any amount of time after you were in build/buy is no fun.
