I started a new lepacy, just the basegame, a blank island map (no rabbitholes, nothing), and 7 sims in a single household. As there were no jobs, no other sims, and they had no money, I switched off property tax in SP, which meant no taxes at all. I also have automatic pay for the active household on, like always (not that it is needed here)..On a Thursday morning, I got the notice that I hadn't paid my bills for too long, and the repo-man would pay a visit. Well, technically that was true, as the bill was zero. I had never seen the mailman, as there was nobody to send mail, and the bills were paid automatically, which abolishes the paper bill. I was kind of curious what the repo-man would do, but I guess he tried to divide something by zero. I could see his portrait as a tag when zoomed out, right next to the lot, but he was nowhere to be seen. After a while, I just reset him. Looks like I should pay at least some taxes...
As an aside, is there a global way to abolish the newspaper? Does Register>Service>Newspaper Delivery>Recurring>No achieve that?

You can cancel the paper delivery with the cell phone.

My Annoyances Disabler mod automatically disables newspaper delivery for all households in town after loading the game.

Yes, thank you very much. I have actually remembered and installed the mod since I posted this thread. Love it!Knight wrote: ↑January 15th, 2024, 5:36 pmMy Annoyances Disabler mod automatically disables newspaper delivery for all households in town after loading the game.
I hadn't used it so far because I had solutions for most of the other annoyances and don't mind the stuff in the fridge (I disabled that part of the mod, as per your instructions). Anyway, it's exactly what I wanted.
