I’m pretty sure this won’t do anything but still…
Someone seemed to start it in 2020 already. Let’s free the sims 3 from save errors!!

Sims 3 64bit petition
I actually don't want this at all. I saw what EA did to 64-bit Sims 3 for Mac. No thanks.

A 64-bit Sims 3, without the problems the MAC 64-bit version has, would be nice. But I think EA is busy with the next Sims game plus new Sims 4 packs. I'd prefer that they used their time to make "Project Rene" as good as possible, with sims and features we Sims 3 players can accept. We are picky and know what we want.

I hope that's the case, that Project Rene is Sims 5 and actually good. There's some thought that it's Sims Mobile 2 instead though, an online hangout-with-your-virtual-friends game with lots of cool design possibilities. That would be both incredibly disappointing—I want no part in that kind of game—and weirdly reassuring, in that Maxis could shove all its multiplayer ambitions into this other game, which isn't even supposed to be Sims 5, and develop the true Sims 5 with entirely different goals in mind.
I do want to say I have absolutely zero insider information on this, and I'm not even reading tea leaves here, let alone recklessly (mis)interpereting them. I just know what I don't want.

why is it so complicated to only add something in the code that the game engine can use more RAM?
I don't want a changed Sims 3 game.

I mean, yeah, we kinda know. I don't hate EA or anything but I have zero faith that they wouldn't muck it up somehow.

I saw some images said to be from "Project Rene", just the work on the lighting, and it looked like something for PC. Things like that would be simplified for smartphone games. You know, adapted for a small screen for better visibility. But who knows, it's said to planned as a game for single player and have social features. I'm not really following the project and try to have low expectations. If it will be a terrible game, there's always Sims 3. But it sure would be nice with a new sim game that we could like. "Life by You" is another interesting project, but after the first trailer simmers went "oh oh oh, stop, you need to rethink this and that", and hopefully Mr. Humble et al are listening.puzzlezaddict wrote: ↑December 11th, 2023, 11:50 am.Cororon wrote: ↑December 10th, 2023, 6:08 pmA 64-bit Sims 3, without the problems the MAC 64-bit version has, would be nice. Life By You has amazing potential and is coming along super nicely. The devs and the team seem to really care about what it is that we players want, they listen and take notes. They also update the progress very transparently and regularly. I've been keeping an eye on it, as well as on Paralives (my personal favourite, but I'll be playing them both for very different reasons when the time comes) and now there's this new Korean life simulation game, InZoi, making its way, too. And I'm glad. It's about time other companies enter the life simulation game market. But when it comes to "Project Rene" or even The Sims 5... I'm sorry, EA lost me at the start of TS4 a long time ago. I have zero faith in them anymore and am not interested in anything they put out.Cororon wrote: ↑December 11th, 2023, 1:33 pmIf it will be a terrible game, there's always Sims 3.
