I broke the tourists... or not?

Hello everyone again, it probably won't be so much a search for a solution to the problem, but probably a desire to gain experience from other players. So, my sims have been vacationing in France for a long time and I finally made it as a home town, with the help of a Traveler mod, of course. But, it doesn't matter, before or after that, but it seems that something is wrong with tourists. They hang out at base camp all the time. Did they buy travel packages just to spend all the time in a cheap hotel? Absurd! I already have a beach there, a place to hang out, a pub and a couple of other places, so they have somewhere to go. But they don't want to! And no, they are not stuck, they successfully communicate, eat, sleep, but they do it within the base camp. They also began to wear some strange glamorous outfits. If earlier it was their traditional or safari style, now it's just random stuff. Has anyone else come across this? I need tourists just to liven up the town, but as a result, none of them are on the street.

What? Nobody knows anything about this, right? Of course, I'm probably the only one who messed up everything as usual. Or I'm complaining about something and in most games what happens to me is a common thing. Okay, then an additional question. I remember someone in WA towns had sims from ordinary towns like Sunset Valley, Riverside and Bridgeport. How do I set this up?

Sorry, I have no clue why. Maybe check by clicking a tourist, f.i. use MC progression what is set for them?

Sorry, I hadn't read this message. The same thing has happened to me in my beloved Springville, apparently I think...tourists have a cozy place to go with food, fun and free beds...but they like it too much! They stay behind the door doing nothing if you don't focus on them, if you make a base camp without a building they stay there too, although they move more. Solution? Don't build a base camp, they move around the city if that lot is not there, listen to me....if you feel bad about leaving them on the street, you can pretend that you are a good person and make a shelter that is "visitors allowed" , which they will rarely use.
I think you haven't broken anything, the base camp appears because you have Traveler installed, it is not an official option and I think the game is not designed for that.
Greetings and luck!

Let me clarify the situation a little: before, tourists and researchers pretended to read the bulletin board, and then went to a random place. That is, with the base camp, everything worked fine, I don't think it spoils everything. I have a lot with the status "visitors are allowed", but for some reason this place is the most unpopular, even among residents, not to mention travelers. Previously, they could be found in the market or in the tomb, very "smart" even did excavations, stealing treasures from me :D

So far, I have driven these dummies away from my town and closed the borders, but when I let them in again, I will definitely check, I hope this will clarify what situations they are involved in.

made it as a home town,
I think this is the change, you have gone from a vacation map to a "normal" map, surely the operation is different just because of that. It happened to me doing tests with the apartments, I mean, I'm going to set up an apartment in my city, ok, the roommates didn't leave the house, just like if you ask for roommates, they seem stupid...but on the Uni map they work well. I think it's something similar.

Even before that, it seems, they behaved "boring". But! Now I suspect that this happened after moving into my own cottage, not after making France a home world. And yes, I know that France is not provided as a homeworld by default, but what can I do? Few of the available worlds are suitable for my taste. In addition, as for the interesting part of employment, sims can now quite afford to work. The problem is only with these tourists. Or rather, I'm at a dead end because the town is small and a little too quiet, and even visitors don't want to revive it.

So, I have reopened the borders to tourists and... Incredibly, I saw them at least at the local market! Are they all right now? Huh, no, they were all right for only one day, and the next and beyond, they continued to crowd into the narrow corridors of the base camp, fighting, chatting and making a mess. Some of them even took out laptops, apparently as a demonstration of how uninterested they were in Champs Les Sims. Well, I guess for this kind of behavior, I'll never let them in again and be content with what I have. Or hope for a natural increase in the population. But, just in case, the question about travelers from other (ordinary) towns is still open.

Tourists and Explorers are actually different role sims. You may be seeing some changes in behaviour because the roles being fulfilled have actually changed.
Do you have NRaas Register? Some previous discussion I read mentioned that Register helps enforce their schedule when they get stuck in the base camp.

Also, if I'm remembering correctly- homeworld tourists appear regardless of whether there even is a base camp. At least back before I turned tourists off, I remember seeing them running around in their silly hats all over Riverview.

In my world I removed the base camp because they were always there, and now I see them everywhere, in the gym, at festivals, in the pool, in bars, everywhere....I usually deactivate them because they always throw routing errors or other types of errors, it's like the engine has a hard time moving these characters, because I almost never see any problems with the residents.
