@igazor - Thanks so much. I don't really use the scrapbook I prefer to take screenshots of events or moments and save them for 'real world' viewing. I'm still learning and experimenting with ways to balance this game with my PC.

@lovingpierrot - I really hope your issue can be solved. Hylewood is such a lovely town to play in.

Never had any crashing problems like this one, even when playing on large world's with more than 60 sims + pets.
Upon further checking, I am reminded there were some 2010 variants of this card that for reasons known only to Nvidia kept exactly the same name and model number and those at least had more VRAM -- up to 500 MB I think, although the bus speeds would not have likely improved. Perhaps you have one of those, as it can at this point be not so easy to tell. But the earlier ones with only 250 MB one would think would be total non-starters.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not being a hardware snob nor saying that the solution is to put the game down, forget about it, and go stand in the corner. The fact that you can get as much enjoyment out of TS3 by taking it as far as you have with the EPs, mods, and CC collection on what you have to work with is actually to be celebrated. But there is a difficult to define limit to what you can do with this hardware without burning it out and it seems that somehow you may have reached it with the combination of worlds, sims, and content that you are currently throwing at it. Thus if another player can get this exact combo to work on their stronger hardware set, it may not really point in the direction of a solution for you other than to confirm that under other circumstances much of what you have in play really would otherwise work better.

What I would do, for whatever that may be worth, is set this project aside (not the game, I mean these particular sims and this world) for now until such time in the future as I might have stronger hardware on which to play and start up something new with fewer resource draining mods, simpler newly created sims, and content to amuse myself in the meantime. And perhaps sometime in the future on a different hardware set, I might have these newer sims meet up with the original ones and get to know each other. :)

I'll leave this save to rest for a little, maybe I'll play something else while I still try to figure out what exactly am I gonna do with this save and my pc.
Sadly with The Sims 3 there's way too much missing or things need fixing and when adding mods, I forget to think about the quantity and only focus on what is adding to my gameplay
I have 500 mods and it's honestly surprising my pc hasn't blown up in my face yet.
Sorry for all the time you guys put into helping me out, but also thank you all for the help, I'll definitely be using all the tips I've been given.

I still like to test your mods and save, can you link the world download page too please?

At the weekend.

Hey pals, I know I said I was going to let this save rest for a little, but I'm a very persistent person and I just couldn't let it be. Also, I'm planning on starting a new save and I'm afraid that the issue isn't my cc or mods, and actually the game or my pc itself. I've been doing a lot of testing, removing some stuff, resetting the town, playing with it for a bit, and every time the game crashes after two hours (I tried playing without any CAs cc and still crashed, next I'll try without any build or buy cc).
But I've been thinking about this being a memory problem, because every single time I check the task manager, the memory is always 900MB or higher, usually higher.
Since I don't know much about all that, I took a look at my last xcpt and I wonder if my system info could help in solving this issue.

As mentioned before, honestly

8 GB RAM isn't much (your system is also using merely about 3 GBl) and playing 2 hours is really long. A game like Sims 3, which is an old game, 32 bit and using only max 4 GB and will for sure crash when reaching max. 3,7 GB - this is normal and can happen to everyone. And as said your system specs like graphic card is not the strongest, it has only 512 MB VRAM, which is for an open world real time game very low,

That's why you should save as often, like with nraas saver, at least every 30 Minutes real time and when you do special. things like building or CAS , so you won't loose much progress :)

There are enough voices in this thread already and I didn't want to insert myself unnecessarily. But if you want, you can post a dxdiag in case there's a system issue that ought to be addressed. I'm not saying that there is—this may well be a case of insufficient hardware for Sims 3, as has been suggested a few times already—but it doesn't hurt to look.

To provide a dxdiag, hit Windows key-R, enter "dxdiag" without quotes in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, and click "Save all information." Save the file to your desktop, upload it to a free third-party filesharing site (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.), and link it here. If you use Google Drive, make sure the file is set so anyone with the link can read it.

Here's my dxdiag

I used to play for more than 2 hours at least 2 months ago, i don't really understand how my game went from normal to having all these issues. Is there anything I could do to give my system some more ''space''? I don't really use it for anything besides ts3, so I wonder if deleting some random files could help it ''breathe'' a little better? Btw, I have zero knowledge about all this, and I'm just throwing guesses around and hoping something sticks.

I am so so sorry if i caused any trouble by creating another thread, i just thought it would be easier to ''start again'' with a new thread and didn't think it through, once again, i apologize.

I have deleted everything i had from my previous game and i'm now starting with a reinstalled game and compatible mods.

the only thing i ask is for some advice, i've given up on fixing the game and now i'm trying to fix my pc, i just want to make sure i am making the right call before buying something new. i'm just planning to buy a graphics card, would that be enough to allow me to play the game?

once again, sorry for any trouble.
