I tried adding the sims to Sunset Valley and i got no crashes or script errors

Game Crashing
It's certainly not something I expect from Nilxis' creations, but I'm sure issues can creep into things made in CAW as well as populated saves. If it's coming from Hylewood itself, I would suspect CC that might be included in the .sims3pack for the world or perhaps something like a bad debug item was used.
If it's the custom save, it could be any manner of corruption that might occur in a user's save. It could even be carrying over bad NRaas settings from that creator.

Is it a particular family when the crash happens?
Maybe it's a problem with a specific lot you tried to place one of them?
Did you try MC town reset before placing the sims.

Game Crashing
i tried everything, even tried playing with a different family and it still crashed.
i did reset town and all, but since the sims aren't the problem, it might as well be the town.
I'll try playing on the original Hylewood world instead of using a populated save, maybe something from the creator's game is messing with my game, idk

i did think it was the lots, but i was able to play on the other Hylewood save with the same lots when i didn't have my custom sims in town.
on the new save, i removed my sim and added a premade family from the library, it seems to be working as i haven't gotten any crashes or errors, i don't mind losing my sims cause i have all the .sim files saved in another folder, the only thing i'd be losing is the skills and progress made ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Game Crashing
Could this be a memory usage problem? I randomly opened my task manager and noticed how high the memory was while I was playing, and when I entender build mode, it got even higher Could that be the reason why it crashes after adding my sims? Too much at the same time causing the game to shut off?

Game Crashing
How much RAM usage are we talking about in each case here? TS3 is a 32-bit application (on Windows) and thus cannot use 4 GB or more. The absolute limit is ~3.7 GB with 3.4 or 3.5 being the beginning of the danger zone for most players, where crashes and Error12s upon trying to save become prevalent.
Sometimes rampant calls for more RAM mean the town is just too large or its sims' histories are too complex to run properly otherwise. But just as often it means some process or other is not running the way it should, and this includes third party mods, and is running away with all of the resources it can get as it goes into programmatic loops and spawns errors all over the place. The key here is to make the game use less RAM to enable it move forward, whether that is by lessening a world's complexity or getting rid of mods that are quietly malfunctioning.
