Unofficial Game Mod
Unofficial Game Mod
Hi, I don't know what else to title this, but the sims 3 keeps telling me that "it looks like you have installed an unofficial game mod that does not match your current version of TS3. We recommend that you either uninstall these mods or get updated versions." I just d/led a brand new version of ET and still get this msg. If I click on "continue," the game is very sluggish. I have patch level 1.69. Also, I do not have any no CD cracks, not even yours. Is there anyway aside from uninstalling and reinstalling the game I can resolve this? Thanks!

Did you download the correct version of Error Trap for patch 1.69? Sounds like you may have installed the 1.67 version by mistake.

Hi Sarah, I looked and I have 1.67 version of the game. The only version of ET available here is 1.69. I've always had game 1.67 and will not upgrade the game. Is there a 1.67 version of ET? Thanks!

On the ErrorTrap page scroll down next to the version notes you'll see the 1.67. Click either the Steam or Origin icon to get whichever version you need.

We offer three different variants of the current version of ErrorTrap because it is a Core Mod, unlike the others which are Script Mods. Only Core Mods do the core version check.
You want the 1.67 non-Steam version. (just use this link if you find the download page confusing)
However, using the wrong variant of ErrorTrap isn't going to make your game sluggish. All that would do is display the core version mimatch warning on startup, which in the case of 1.67 vs. 1,69/70 is harmless. Functionally, all three versions of the mod are exactly the same.
An already ongoing game save that has ErrorTrap introduced to it might be sluggish for a while because of the amount of cleanup the mod has to perform all at once. Might this be what you are experiencing?

I'm confused. In your original post, you said:
So, after checking, you've now realised you have patch 1.67? If so, then follow Chain_Reaction's & igazor's advice above.

I have also the disc install and I really love the no CD from nraas, with it I don't need to use my CDs all the time, so they hopefully last longer. It is not really a crack because you need to have it installed from disc with legal product key, otherwise it wouldn't work.
