Raise and lower the mirror!
hello to all! please i need a mod, a way to raise and lower the mirrors. I have the alverdine one (mod the sims 3) for the curtains, which works great, but if I also put the one for the mirrors, the game crashes! Can you recommend me anything else?

hm what about the cheat moveobjects on?
I cannot remember if this works with mirrors, I am not in-game
shift (or ctrl?) + right click (or left?) hold and move up or down...

In the program s3oc when you clone a mirror you can go to Misc Flags (2) and tick the box CanBeMovedUpDownOnWall, and when you save the clone and put the .package file in your mods/packages folder you will have an identical mirror in the game that can be moved up and down on the wall.

Heads up: Sims using e.g. a lowered mirror will sink into the floor and then often get stuck there. So, use cautiously

Raise and lower the mirror!
Cororon, Hi, there!
I'm not intending to do this with mirrors, but I'd like to ask if I could do the same as you've shown, by using S3PE.
And also I'd like to know if it's necessary to create a clone of an object when we want to change something in it.
By the way, thanks for your detailed answer (above).

Hi, yes you need to clone an EA original object.and this you can edit.
With s3oc, it is not just a copy, but gets a new id and everything so it will not conflict.

I have never tried it with S3PE so I don't know.

First clone with s3oc and then open this clone and you can either edit parts with s3oc or S3pe.
