It's been awhile since I've played

Ok, I haven't played Sims 3 since September (so almost 5 months). I am logging in through EA. Not one item I purchased through the Sims 3 store over the years is showing up in game. So since all my purchases show in my log I just click on them to reinstall. Still nothing is showing up.

I went back and logged in through Origin and try to reload all my store content and it's still not showing up.

Has anyone else had this problem? I'm not sure who or how to contact anyone at EA about this issue, so I thought I would check here to see if anyone else had this problem and what the solution is.

Thanks

Yes, this is a very commonly reported issue with store content and the EA App that is meant to supplant Origin. Unfortunately I only have Steam installs going these days (on Windows, anyway), so can't re-create any of this.

The best place to report this issue and seek resolution, if there is any to be had yet other than it's being worked on, would be EA's TS3 Answers.HQ board. It is staffed by player volunteers and tends to be very responsive to player's issues to the extent that they can help.

Note that the top "Current Issue" post is about exactly this.

Just to add to this, the only current workaround is to go back to using Origin, but you'd need to download fresh copies of your store items and install them from scratch. You may also need to remove the existing installed items, by which I mean remove the files from your user folder rather than uninstalling through the launcher.

Since this takes some effort, it's probably best to try to install everything into a clean Sims 3 folder, as in, move the existing one out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop and open the launcher to spawn a new folder. If the store stuff works in the new folder (playing through Origin), then you can move your saves and mods, as well as anything else you want to keep, to that folder, and pick up where you left off. If the store stuff doesn't work, you can trash the new Sims 3 folder and restore the old one, and you'll be back where you started.

Judging by the few posts from EA people, I do think this will be fixed at some point. But until that happens, a lot of players are stuck not using their store stuff at all.
