I hope it's not against the rules to ask about this. Does anyone know where I can get these items for TS3 or request to have a modder make them? I need an invisible tube elevator and a invisible 1-tile bookshelf, or an invisible 1-tile bookshelf that hangs on the wall like a painting so it doesn't interfere with chairs pulling out to be sat upon (Ideally, both invisible bookshelves). I don't suppose I could use NRass to create something like these?

I've been looking for these items for years, never occurred to me to ask here. TY.

I have not used either of these mods, but I wondered if you could use them to do what you want?

How did you try to make it work? Reading through the instruction it should be pretty easy with Transmogrifier, unless the script does not work anymore (I have not tried it)

Transmogrifier? Not sure what that is. I'm not at all familiar with any of the content creation programs for the sims, but I followed the instructions I could find and nothing. It could just be that I'm missing something totally obvious. All instructions I found are like the ones on this page:

It looks super simple, I cloned a bookshelf, and added the VanishingObjects line where it says to, but in-game, it doesn't disappear (in live mode) and it doesn't have the bookshelf functions.

What Objects class did you add exactly?
Did you also put in Buzzlers Mod and the InteractionsTuning file?

Not sure what an Objects class is, but the only change I made is highlighted in bold below:

Sims3.Gameplay.Objects.VanishingObject.ShelvesStorage.Mimics.BookshelfMission

OK, I'm really lost here. Do I need to use Transmogrifier too? I'm just trying to make a bookshelf invisible. Sorry. I feel so stoopid, but I have never looked into modifying The Sims objects, so none of this makes any sense to me.

I would like to point out here that this project may be more difficult than it seems. Unless I am totally misunderstanding something, which is entirely possible, making an object invisible does not automatically make it take up less or no space. It's just not visible to us, the players. That doesn't mean other objects won't bump into it or be in the way of its use.

I think the point here would be to take an existing one-tile object and transmogrify it into a bookshelf. How usable that would then be to sims would not be determined until it's tested out.
