Sims and Love/relationships

Is there a setting to increase the number of single sims who hook up or flirt? I never really seemed to have an issue with this before, but in my newest game I only have 2 out of 22 teens with even a romantic interest and none of my single Sims have started dating anyone without my intervention.
I wanted to play this particular game without much of my own influence. I'm not doing the alternating Sim thing and I'm just sticking to one family.
In the past I'd often initiate some flirting and such as I rotated and let the game do the rest, which it often did. (many sims who I never even touched often would date and even marry!) But it seems this game doesn't seem to need any of my sims to be in romantic relationships, other than what the game already had going anyway. (I decided to go with Sunset Valley's original cast of Sims and only added a few of my favorite, personally created, Sims.) At the very least my teens should be reacting to those raging hormones. Also, yes, there are plenty of sims who would otherwise be compatible. I've been reading and looking at old posts for hints but found nothing. All my settings are imported from all the other games I've played, so I just don't understand why no hook ups? My current family already is about to have a teen and they started as YA with no kids and my lifetimes are long. So what the heck?
BTW I have had a few couples move to town, already coupled, but I am over-run with Singles who all seem to be a-sexual in their interests. LOL

Is it possible that you have SP's Romance and Flirt Manager speeds turned way down (meaning very high cycle lengths), Partnership Liking Gate turned up, Flirts suppressed? Usually the complaint in this regard with default settings is that single sims couple up way too quickly and what works to make that more realistic or desired in one world can backfire in another.

What would be average or "good" settings for this? I never really had issues before and if my memory serves me they were all basically at default. But I may have tweaked them and forgot. That round of Covid I had over Xmas kicked my butt and seems to have really messed with my memory.

I will look into this and check back though. I have a free weekend, for a change, so I will probably play. Nothing but bitter cold outside where I am so I indoors is where I will be. Thanks Igazor, hope all is well with you and yours. :)

SP does adjust some of the speed managers on it's own based on how long of a lifespan you use when you first activate it. And if you set SP to snail it makes the speed managers take even longer to do anything.
One thing I noticed that if you import settings from a game that had a longer lifespan than your current game SP will not adjust the speed managers to the lifespan and vice versa.
Also the Max Population setting can have an affect on the Flirts and Romance speed managers if the population is at or over the max it'll stop pushing those.

UPDATE:
I made a few SP adjustments to increase flirting and such. I didn't realize I'd had it set so low before. I guess I interfered with the whole town more than I was aware in previous games. But I've used the same expanded lifespans for years now and haven't adjusted them in a long time, so as far as that goes it's the same.
This time I'm just not alternating through families and lots. I may do some of that once my Sim-family kids move from my core Sim's lot, but I may not and just keep one of the kids living on the lot to inherit it once the parents get reaped. I haven't decided. But as soon as I did make the adjustment (only increased by a few) I got messages saying a teen or two were dating and a couple in town had started living together. :)
