Drinking nectar in living room chairs

Is there a way to make this happen? I'd prefer that my sims be able to sit in their living room chairs and perhaps their couches while drinking instead of heading for the dining table. I had a look through Retuner's settings and didn't see anything relevant, and I'm not sure this is even the kind of thing Retuner could address. But I obviously could have been looking in the wrong place.

I could be wrong but I don't think there is. Nectar is considered food so the first thing they'll do is make a beeline for the dining table.
I'm just guessing but maybe it could have something to do with what is the most comfortable to sit on.

Actually just remembered over at Sims Asylum you can try bluegenjutsu's Sit on more comfy objects mod maybe that'll help. You'll need to register for an account if you don't already have one.

Doesn't Nectar Glass Replacement by icarus_allsorts allow you to command sims to sit and drink wherever you want? At least I can do that with this (and Just Sit by FloTheory) mod in place.

sittingbear, Thanks, I'll try that mod tonight. I did use to have a Sims Asylum account at some point, I think just to look around, but making a new one wouldn't be a problem either.

Kukko69, Thanks, I knew about that mod but had forgotten about the modified interactions for wandering around (or sitting) while drinking. However, I don't have Late Night installed at the moment, which is why I haven't tried the mod already.

Maybe use the Transmogrifier mod (at MTS) to classify certain living room chairs as dining room chairs?

Unfortunately, bluegenjutsu's mod didn't help. I had a sim serve nectar in the library, and she and another sim still walked across the house to the dining room even though there were living room chairs and a sofa right in front of them. I then had another sim sit on the couch first, since the mod is supposed to encourage them to sit near each other, but it didn't make a difference.

gcgrad, Thanks, but I'd rather not go that route. It's a little more work than I want to do, given that I'm playing rotationally and I would continually forget to apply the changes to new houses, and probably also new furniture. If nothing else works though, I might end up doing it anyway.

Your welcome.
I totally forgot I even had that mod I had merged most of my tuning mod a long time and forgot to check my reminder folder on what I had merged.
I got the mod cause I was tired of my sims always going out to the picnic table to read a book in the middle of a thunderstorm instead of using the really nice comfortable chair I bought them. Not to mention the chair was right next to bookcase.
Not sure if it will help with the nectar problem.

*Edit*
And I just noticed you said it didn't help. Sorry about that.

Interesting, I think I will try this out and edit it, I find 2 Sim hours a little bit too long, even "While seated, their energy decay will stop" and try to make it interruptable ;-)
