Normally I wouldn't question this, but in a new game with a new sim, I had less than $500 left.

Suddenly I have earned over $28,000. No messages about how or why. Nothing was sold. Perhaps I was gifted something from the Town Robin?

Edit: Nevermind, seems like a fluke. I just loaded it back up and the money is back to normal. Shrug.

In case this happens again, the usual cause is a game bug through which a car that your sim or household never owned themselves gets sold, but your household gets credit for the sale. If using NRaas SP, then a Household Options > Accounting Report can help reveal the sources of mysterious credits and debits. if the report gets too full of stale information to be useful after a while, it can be cleared out by way of a command on the same menu, a bit further down.

I don't see it happen very often and usually just shrug and take the unearned money away. I've never seen the funds correct themselves after the next loadup, but maybe I've never been patient enough to wait for that.

Thank you Igazor, I will check out the accounting report. The money just happened to pop up as I was getting ready to save and exit, so I ignored it and figured I would deal with it on my next play. When I loaded that save again the next day, the money was gone.

But is it possible for my sim to get gifts from the Town Robin? Or is that just for inactives?

Just for inactives, I think. That sounds like it would have been quite a gift though. Do they really transfer high amounts around like that?

I've seen amounts in the 5 digits before, but $28k does seem high.
