Victory Statistics in Sports Career is broken

Post by Categoricus » June 10th, 2013, 1:12 pm

The application has unexpectedly stopped adding victories to statistics, and my sim doesn't receive the moodlet connected to a won match any more. I had to suspect on Story Progression possibly interfering Leisure Day, time of last football match which (in Hungary weeks begin with Monday, thus in-game holidays are Saturdays in our localized version).

Actually the match wasn't kept on Leisure Day but the red circled indicator was already visible this in-game week, which could be a progression issue, somehow it may have been interpreted as it had actually been Leisure Day in some ways.

And you believe this to be a mod-related issue ?

Reports of the sports career being broken have been floating around for many Patches now. You are the first to suggest a mod relation.

I haven't found more than 3 reports of this experience, two of which was noted in 2011 and one in 2010 all suspecting on EA but none of them confirmed. I especially never experienced this during my 3 years of playing The Sims 3. On the other hand, it's been pretty long time since last EA patch was released, although I've been often fetching your mod updates recently.

The error only occurred at the second match during my current sim's athletic career, but no matter how many times I reload the last stored state, it happens again on that very sim-day.

There are two reproducible glitches with the sports career and game victories that have been discussed in more recent threads than you mention. The first is when your stadium is a combo rabbithole; the solution is to replace it with a standalone. The second occurs if your athlete moves from another world and tries to transfer their career; the solution for that one (that worked for me, anyway) is to have them quit, use MC to wipe out the sports portion of their career history, and then reinstate them at their former level in their new world.

But neither of these have anything to do with Leisure Day scheduling, so maybe is this a different issue entirely. Has your sim considered taking up knitting instead?

Now just to verify, we are talking about the same issue reported here, correct ? http://nraas.wikispaces.com/share/view/62122316

None of these circumstances apply to my current situation, one of which is included by the reports I've met.

However, this is the first time I'm using a custom time flow (25 instead of 37, provided by Relativity), which has already seemed to cause some other issues regarding my sims career. On the first working day I couldn't make my sim go to work when it was time to, although the company car had arrived for him in time. I found a way to fix it: there I saw a strange interaction at the sports rabbit hole that I had never met before: something like asking the sim's reassignment (I never saw the English version). Since then, my sim has been going to work normally (and no, he wasn't transmitted to the sport agent career unlike I was afraid). When he was promoted to the appropriate level, he won his first match without raising any bugs. Nothing special has changed since then, yet the second match results in malfunctioning.

I wasn't quite sure which of the mods are concerned by this glitch but if it's Relativity, feel free to transfer this thread there.

@twallan:
No. My issue is different. In the task queue I could check the state of the match while it was in progress. Final result was 14-0 to local side: a perfect victory for my sim. Only thing is that the number of won matches won't be updated within statistics. The first match resulted very similarly to the second, yet flawlessly.

Check my issue here:

Unlike the article sais, it couldn't be connected to installing Ambitions, I've had that expansion for ages, untouched.

The day after the faulty match, the "prepare for match" status bar was still maxed out, as if last match hadn't ever happened.

And... the third match is faulty again.
