Disabled SP - Inactive sims career rising
Disabled SP - Inactive sims career rising
Hello, I have a question. When I set Story Progression Disabled, inactive sims, can´t raise their career performance and be promoted? Because I have in Neighborhood more households with inactive sims, which don´t get promotion only one inactive sim get promotion for the whole time, what I play with Disabled SP. Thanks for answers.

With SP disabled, SP isn't doing anything to push sims either way in their careers. It's not blocking them either even if you've set Career: Allow Progression to False; that setting would only apply if SP were active.
So while sims could get promoted in theory, it's unlikely to happen in practice. I'm not even sure how sims gain job experience, or whether they do at all, without SP. The whole point of SP is that it creates progression where there would otherwise be somewhere between very little and none at all.

What is it you are trying to accomplish exactly, by having SP's progression disabled?

I want accomplish, disabling sims have partner, which I don´t want. Example. In Sunset Valley, Bella Bachelor is partner with Malcolm Landgraab, but always in all sims series, Bella have Mortimer. or I play now, same as in The sims 2, rotational and when I am playing in one household, other households can have kids, career, promotions, relationships. And I want, that only I can select, which career sims can have, which partners/husbands/Wives, sims can have, no automatically random by SP. From this reasons I play with disabled SP.

Right, got it. But the SP way to accomplish Rotational Play is outlined here with several options discussed.
Installing SP but then not using it is not really going to accomplish very much. The OFF switch on SP progression, otherwise known as Enable Progression > False under General Options, doesn't forbid anything from happening. It just renders most of the mod ineffective and turns things back over to EA progression (on or off, according to the built-in Game Options) for the most part as if the mod were not present.
