Hi, if you render "pregnancy:allow adoption" false under this mod, this will not allow inactive households to adopt pets or children without your choosing? Thanks.

Yes, that's correct, setting Pregnancy: Allow Adoption to False blocks all kinds of adoption.

Hi, I've got that set to false, but oddly inactive households are still going through "pet adoption processes" when I scroll over them in the hood. But one household that I saw got a horse, had no horse after I left it some time and when I played them, no pet was there. Why is the process happening in any way? Should I just wait for the "pet adoption process" to end on a household? This is very odd or the mod is flawed.

Two potential things:

1. This is an option related to NRaas StoryProgression actively managing the progression of your town- in your previous thread you mention leaving the mod disabled. This option won't do anything if NRaas SP isn't managing town adoption to begin with.
You'll also want to make sure you toggled adoption off at the Town Options level. It's possible to change options from Sim and Household options too, but they'll only be applied to those specific things.

2. Is it perhaps the 'Neighborhood Pet Adoption' that you are seeing? The scenario that allows you to adopt pets from inactive households, which shows up on the world map?
That one is an EA scenario unrelated to real adoption. NRaas Overwatch has an option called Stop Pet Adoption to stop this event from occurring.

Hi yes, it's called "Neighbourhood Pet Adoption" which shows up on the world map when you hover over a household (with an orange icon), and I gathered it was an EA scenario. Thanks for telling me how to disable it.

Okay, so I found the overwatch option and it was already set to false, which is odd, because I've seen this scenario happen. Anyhow, I switched it to true, then to false again to make sure it works. Are you sure it works?

The Overwatch setting is Stop Pet Adoption, so it needs to be set to True. Having said that, when there's an ongoing adoption scenario, it might not disappear immediately.

I've never played with the Pets EP enabled without StoryProgression also being present, but I've disabled SP in WA worlds and found that once I switched the Overwatch setting to True, the pet adoption scenario still showed on the map for a little while. I'd forgotten to change the setting before loading those WA worlds, and without SP to shut down the scenario by default, it was created when I loaded the world and persisted for some time.
