Cannot see many of the SP options

Post by Unesty » August 27th, 2023, 2:59 pm

As the title says I can't see a lot of the options in settings. I read that there was an advanced switch but there is no such setting under the settings. And my sims never break up. That is one of the missing options and which made me realize that I didn't have all of the options in the documentation.
I downloaded the SP again, cleared the script cache and started a new save and the options are still not there. For example I do not see the "Cooldown: Partner to Breakup" option under opitions: romance.

You need the additional modules like SP Relationship.
On the documentation page you can see a note if a specific setting needs a special module.

Like it is for Romance: Allow break up
see the note under Module
StoryProgression-Interactions#Romance-Allow-Breakup

I'm talking about this https://www.nraas.net/StoryProgression- ... to-Breakup not the one you linked. Unless this is also connected to the module which in case shouldn't it also be mentioned under this option as well? Because this looks like a base mod option.

Edit: It is indeed connected to this module you linked. I assumed since many other sub options like this one was clearly marked as needing a certain module, this one would have had the said module mentioned in the documentation as well.

Hmm, I definitely have both SP Romance and Woohooer, and I don't see Allow Breakup either. I'm configuring a new game, and so far I also don't see marriage name.

Docco says there should be an "Advanced Mode" that can be toggled to reduce the number of options for less experienced users, but I can't find it either.

It is maybe hidden when
"Hidden by: "Romance: Allow" = False"

The Release notes say it has been removed
https://www.nraas.net/StoryProgression- ... ersion-253

So the documentation page may need some improvements. Like also when module notes are missing.

Echoweaver, I think you're missing the Relationship Module from SP like I did. When you have only the base SP mod there is no option for breakup tuning.

I do have it, but now that I look at the dates, I'm not sure I updated it when I updated the mod last? It was last modified in 2015, which is much earlier than the main mod and my other modules. I'll take a look at that.

Also, thanks for the heads up on the removal C-Dark. That clears up some confusion.

Only a matter of time before someone "calls for a manager" here. :)

I've fixed the missing SP Relationship module requirement entries on the Interactions page under General and Town (Household/Caste/Sim) Options. Thanks for pointing these out. Any other sections that seem incomplete?

The current SP Relationship module is v267 (note: not 268 as I accidentally said here in error at first). You can get the version numbers out of Overwatch in-game or by reading the end section of most any ErrorTrap script log (and some of the others). It was indeed last updated in 2015 when it was in beta testing, though fully released without further changes much later than that as so often happens.

Thanks.

The StoryProgression mod page says the base mod version is 267, and the one in testing in 269. I installed 269, but Relationships doesn't have an update there, so I'm using the one from the released mod page. Some of the fixes in 269 testing are really good.

Looking at the ErrorTrap log, I'm running StoryProgression Main, Career, and Population at 269 and Relationship at 267. Could that be a problem? I re-downloaded Relationship just in case, but the last modified date is exactly the same as the one in my folder.

Could that cause a problem? I could back everything out to 267, but it would be awfully nice to have those fixes in testing. I figure if there were anything game-breaking, there would be a complaint before now.
