Even with Tagger, I have one world (just one of many, mind you) where the City Hall and a couple of other map tags fail to appear for me, or they appear and the disappear just when I want to click on them. It's not a huge problem, just inconvenient. And I am sure it's because this world has been played forward since 2012 or so and has WAY too many residents (like approaching 300), but it's one where I enjoy pushing the game's limits to see how much I can get away with.
:-o:-o:-o WHAT? 300 ?
Wow, that´s actaully insane.
Do you also use tagger with the custom tags for all sims? I would get completely confused imagining the map shows 300 sim tags.
However, today I reloaded my game without the tagger because I just wanted to try something. I noticed something very strange.
So I told you that I only have problems with the tags of my active sim (all other tags are fine), so I can't see his sim (head) tag or the tag of his cars or boats on the map when I zoom out. I just saw today that I can see these tags by clicking on his HORSE.
This makes absolutely no sense and is hilarious. Normally I should see the tag for the horse when I click on it. And not the tag for my sim and his car/boat on the map when I click on my HORSE. It almost seems like the game got confused between my sim and his horse and messing up their tags. :D

Custom tags are specially designed lot tags, like the ones on this page below the mod download section. But yes, I do have all sims on the map displaying sim tags at all times. Some players find that too distracting, but it's not required to use that option. It does make for some funny looking Map View moments, such as when all 80 teens (had a baby boom back there a while ago) who go to all different high schools try to converge on one school at the same time for Prom Night. My active teens would just look at that mess and say, "Nah,let's just go bowling tonight instead."

Afraid I have no idea what's going on with the horse tag except it sounds like the game is horsing around on you...
