Hi, I’ve been playing the Sims 3, and one thing that I didn’t enjoy was the celebrity system. Almost all of my Sims would become famous, up to even a 4 star celebrity. So I was looking into ways to fix this, and I discovered that NRass StoryProgression is one of the best ways to do so. However, I was wondering if there are any good guides to help me with the process? I don’t want to disable the system altogether, just make it a bit more realistic. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I guess this depends on what you mean by "realistic." For example, I've read a lot of complaints about sims getting celebrity points just for learning skills, and that's easy enough to disable:

NRaas > SP > General Options > Options: Skills > Celebrity Per Skill Level > 0

You can set this to some lower value if you want a smaller increase; the default is 50.

I don't know of a guide that will help you tune SP's Celebrity options to your liking, but what you can do is search the SP documentation page for "celebrity" and find the settings you want to change that way.

StoryProgression-Interactions

Maybe you still want sims to earn points for being friends with higher celebrities, but not for gaining skills or getting a raise when they're already at level 10 of their career. Or you want points to depreciate faster. Just have a look at the options and figure out what you'd like to see, or experiment with different settings until you get something that works for you.
