I'm playing just base game for the lepacy challenge and ran into a few problems, but found out it was due to some of my mods. Now, I'm running into another problem. I can't get story progression to work. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. I tried removing my mods folder. Nothing. I can click on it just fine, it's just that it's not working in game and I don't get any notifications. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi there.

1 - Do you get an NRaas > StoryProgression menu on City Hall? If so, then the mod is installed correctly and it's present.

2 - SP progression is not actually on by default.
On City Hall or an in-game computer, NRaas > StoryProgression > General Options > Enable Progression > (must be True for SP to take control of the town).

If neither of those explain what's (not) happening, then we'll dig a little deeper.
