NRaas and SP aside just for the moment, I believe that simler90's mod also conflicts with AwesomeMod (not for reasons related to story progression) because they are both Core Mods that are programmed to work with/replace the same core resources.

I can't speak to the mermaid thing, but the fairy bloom issue has been fixed with the current beta testing version of Hybrid available from this page . I could be mistaken, but Hybrid should be removable provided you have ErrorTrap in play to clean up what would become superfluous traits on the sims...
