Taxi, Taxi! I'm just a Kid!

No one knows everything this mod can do. Did you know you can tune the size of your sims nostrils with this mod? I'm kidding.

Taxi, Taxi! I'm just a Kid!

Is there a setting in Retuner that I'm missing? I was hoping I could change something here possibly in XML that will allow children to take taxis instead of always riding a bike places? Seems odd that kid can't take a taxi.

I thought I'd asked this before but when I searched I only found info about group outings I'd posted. I just want kids to take taxis sometimes when it's far away.

Also, if that is possible, would it also be possible to let parents take their toddlers in their own cars with a Retuner fix? I mean seriously WTF was EA thinking with this one? Even before car seats people took their own toddlers places in their cars! I still have bruises on my chest from Mom slapping her arm across my chest when she'd stop suddenly. LOL kidding...sort of. :P

The other day I was riding with my mom and she hit the break to keep from hitting a squirrel and she did the whole soccer-mom move and reached out to keep me from going forward. :D We both cracked up and I told her we are wearing seatbelts now and I'm well into my adulthood so her senior citizen arm isn't going to do much to stop her six-foot, two-hundred pound son from hitting the dashboard. <3

To extend this wish, it would also be nice if an adult could actually go somewhere with two toddlers. I mean, they can take a taxi with one since they can't drive and hold the kid at the same time, but they cannot hold two of them. I've ended up having to teleport them around whenever someone else wasn't available to join whatever the errand or local trip was supposed to be.

My sister had twins and I must have missed the part where she was stuck at home with them all those years because it would be impossible for her to leave the house with both of them at the same time. In fact, she used to wheel them around while shopping when they were still babies. People would come up to her and ask if those babies "were real." We still laugh at this, no of course they weren't real. It's a lot of fun for someone who is under 5'2" to wheel two baby dolls in a honking huge twin stroller contraption around a store or busy shopping mall while trying to get things done. :)

No tuning for this I'm afraid, that's coming from a core function that has no tuning. I could probably get around it with GoHere. I'll note that for review.

As for going somewhere with two toddlers, due to animation limits I'd have to teleport the other into the car. Deal breaker?

Wow, 'Are they real', seriously? I would say that would amaze me, but ignorant things and behavior seem to be the theme of the world these days. :|

I hate the twin thing too. It's funny you bring that up because just yesterday one of my Sim-dad's was home with his twins and there was no way to get them to the arcade without teleporting. It's handy, but only realistic in my best fantasy of a better world. Forget Jet Packs! I want to be beamed to Hawaii! :D

Yeah, but this was 20 years ago. They don't get asked that much anymore as they are in college, but then I can't remember the last time the were loaded up into a stroller by their Mom either (the nephew would probably laugh and go along with this, he's every easygoing, the niece would have a fit). A much more common question they got asked was, "Are they identical twins?" They do look alike in a brother-sister kind of way generally, but In what version of high school biology is it taught that a boy-girl pair can be from the same ovum? If the brother-in-law (their Dad) was around, he would usually answer, "No, only one of them has a p(censored)," and then the one asking would tend to clutch their pearls in horror and get all upset. :D

Having them teleport into and out of the car rather than to and from their destination would definitely be an amazing improvement and would not be a deal breaker! :)

Where is the face palm emoji? LOL I've known a few identical twins over the years, we had two sets in high school two boys two girls respectfully.

Then there was my best friend and his twin sister. And I have to say that they were both very attractive so it was amazing one year, maybe just out of high school? that they went dressed as each other for Halloween. I wish I had a photo of this, but we only had beepers back then. LMAO :P I do think there's a disposable camera photo somewhere in an album tucked away in my closet though. Anyway, it was remarkable how much they looked like each other. Even to their own amazement! They were about the same size/build and athletic. Jim had a long dark-curly wig just as big as Texas, as was that late 80's early '90s style. Jen sported a moustache and curly mullet (think that VJ guy on MTV in the '80s ... ummm Mike Goodman?) People were amazed how much they resembled each other and a couple of drunken buddies didn't notice right away. So the genetics were playing hardball with those two. And of course it was obvious they were bro/sis out of any drag, but it was not apparent just how much until that night. :D

Wait...did I just devolve another thread of mine?? I swear I'm turning into my grandfather with the stories!

Back to topic. No that would be amazing. They basically teleport in and out of cars anyway.
