I really do not want to disable autonomous playing of instruments but the sims always gathering to watch is getting on my nerves. I looked in Retuner in Sims3.Gameplay.Actors and there are options for Sim+Watch but I saw nothing for autonomous watching musicians playing. Also checked in Gameplay.Actors Sim and nothing there. Does anyone know of a mod or setting I could use to stop this.
LOL MoMoll. I didn't have any musicians in my house. The only things my kids could play was the radio and that was painful.
I did find some in Retuner Sims3.Gameplay.Objects.HobbiesSkills options for tuning: kLookAtTuning. I'll play with the value in DefaultInteractionLookAtThreshold value and see if that helps.

I enable the object menu for Retuner and click on each instrument. The Watch interaction (which I think is per instrument) is there and I set it to not autonomous. I assume that kills any chance of getting tips, but I don't like the whole household spending the day watching the virtuoso. That generally works for me. I don't remember the exact name, but it should be obvious.
TS3Dreams ... thank you so much for the link. Don't know how I managed to miss that one when searching. I'll see how those settings I changed in Retuner work but already have downloaded and the mod is ready to go in.
@Trey - Yep, I know how to disable those sorts of things in Retuner but was trying to avoid doing so in this case. I do love to see them play and jam but having screaming babies and toddlers in the household it really gets old watching them watching. Thanks though.

My active family has 1 sim who is now "Hit Music Composer", and his wife (due to TFB autonomous missed her promotion) will be a "Rock star" in 24 sim hours. They are each other's bosses. Just for your info, I set them in those jobs, because you get good perks from them (free movies and free concerts). The only jobs will REAL benefits!
When they jam, it's pleasant. Their kids will each grow up knowing a different instrument. Then family jams. So, I don't want to stop the listening to music. I just cancel their queue and give them something else to do.
However, on community lots, it drives me nuts. So, I click on them and choose "take a break from playing", just to save my ears!

@MoMoll : I've got a Hit Music Composer in one of my families and in a couple more households some accomplished musicians. Haven't tried the Rock Star yet though. Currently in any of the households I rotate the focus is not on music so I think I'll stick the mod TS3Dreams pointed me to for a break. Not having much success with the Retuner settng. When I rotate back in I can always direct them to play, jam and watch or just remove the mod if my play style direction changes. And I agree, enough is enough on those community lots.
