Is there a way for your sims to not always change their outfit from sleepwear when going to the door and preserve the autonomous action for when moving from lots to lots only? Create a Style is among the greatest mankind's inventions (suck it Sims 4) and it would be a waste if your exclusively designed pyjamas only shines behind the curtains.

I miss this from the Sims 2 is in the moring, the time when sun shining and the birds chippings, The npcs passing by thinking nothing can top this beautiful scenery until your sim walk of the the door, in his in full glory in pyjamas and clouds of heaven. Collecting your mails and watering the plants with nothing but a pair of pants on is not that relatable, but that's the least of the early morning mood for all of us. It made a comeback in the Sims 4 but having your sims to attend class in knickers is a bit too much (yes that's a bug, the game barely has anything to be broken, shallow to the ankles and shout out to developers managed to drown something in it).

Thank you for making more effords to the game than some developers. As I read this happened to be a core mod behavior, is there a way around this? I'm willings to learn core modding the Sims 3, not talented, but tryhard so I will need a lot of help.

I have found the simeple solution, which I dont know whether it may change also other things:
City Hall/Computer > NRaas > Retuner > Settings > General > By Tunable XML > Sims3.Gameplay.Actors

By default, bedtime starts from 12am (24) and ends at 9am (9), in this period sims will not change from sleepwear when going outside, if you expand this from 0 to 24, bedtime lasts forever and your sims wont change unless moving to another lot. this also work if you make bedtime ends as it start put putting the same value for both (I dont know why). This may have some unknown changes but reversable.
The setting I dont understand is kClothingChangeHoursBeforeSleep, for sims doesnt have specific time they go to bed, I believe this works on kClothingChangeNighttimeStarts

You can use Dresser to make this the way you want

But also download the J4Ks_Dresser_Tuning_V30_Disabled_Initial_Check.zip, so the outfits of your sims in town won't be changed,
then check all options (see page first link) to set to your liking (or disable if enabled by default)

I tried Dresser transitions option, it did not prevent sims switching from sleepwears.
I would check out the Dresser_Tuning_V30_Disabled_Initial_Check when I restart the game, what does it do?

the tuning is only for first starting your save with Dresser, so initial checks will not occur, then you have time to set up everything.

Did you save after it and reload? I wonder that the transition options don't work for you.

Maybe someone else knows more.

The dresser transition option switches sim outfit from and to perferred on when they pass by a door between rooms or inner and outter house, it's not an action nor interaction of the sim, this is similar to MC>basic>outfit change.
Meanwhile in vanilla sims have to do an action or interaction to change their outfit, yes that cyclone whirlwind "change outfit" one, sim will perform it when there a party with dresscode, or going outside while they in sleepwear, go to work or swimming, ect.
The vanilla makes dresser transition "switch from sleepwear to everyday when going out" option obsolete, as sim would change before passing through door for dresser transition to be triggered

I don't know why it is not working for you, I just tested it and my sim walked out of the house to the letter box in her sleepwear.

Switch On Outside
Whether to switch a sim into their Everyday outfit when they enter the outdoors
Only applicable if the sim is in their "Sleepwear", "Athletic", or "Naked" outfits
