On Nraas Register
On Nraas Register
I'm using Legacy Island III, and as anyone who has played that knows that it has a lot of "role objects". However, 3 days from the start of the game and a couple of them, like bars in the gym, for example, have no role sim assigned to them. And, I definitely let default settings stay as is meaning Allow Immigration is set to True and residents are not allowed to be assigned, meaning that Register is supposed to automatically cook up some random role sim and immigrate him/her in to town to fulfill that job. I then thought of three possible reasons why it was not so: it takes longer than a week for register to do its job, all the bars and cash registers I'm seeing missing minders are somehow not classified as role objects (I'll need to manually set them as such), or I need to allow immigration in SP and fiddle with the settings there. Which reason is it, and what should I do to fix the problem?

To put this another way, Register Immigration is referring to the creation of homeless NPCs to staff role objects. SP Immigration is all about bringing in new residents with their own households. I would also be taking a closer look at the objects themselves, it's only the LN Pro bars that are staffed by Role Sims unless you have icarus' Professional Juice Bar mod -- in which case they have to be set as such individually.
Can't speak for Legacy Island, but some EA designed venues have a dozen juice bars on them. Very few of us would want them all staffed automatically, that would be unnecessary and a huge drain on game resources.
