First, let me start bay saying that I am both shocked and amazed that people still post here after so many years. It brings a smile to this old veteran's face to see this site remain active. Now, on to the issue.

So, I recently started playing again after having it sit idle for almost a year. As with all games that I come back to after an extended period of time, I start new games to regain my bearings. With this new playthough, a very annoying, persistent “bug” has cropped up, the Meet & Greet at Uni won't go away. On every save, every day, every week, the event starts up promptly at Noon and my sim drops everything to attend. It does not matter if they are in the middle of class, working out, at a party, or whatever, they act like they must go there. I have to cancel the action and tell them to go back to what they were doing before. I have a strong suspicion that one of the NRAAS mods did this, but I am not sure what setting I tweaked to start this. I used Traveler and Relativity to increase my time at Uni; however, I did not have this issue before my hiatus. Any insight to why this might be happening, and a possible fix would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I also have another problem, but I think it might be a core game bug. Every time I load up a save, my phone stops working (i.e., “no interactions available”), and I am forced to reset the sim via MC.

I disagree, since I've never heard of that scenario getting stuck like that before. What happens on a test run with only NRaas mods in play, script cache cleared?

Are you giving the game a few minutes of game clock time so that your mods have a chance to fully load before trying to interact with your sims? With ErrorTrap and Selector installed, do you get any script error logs upon trying to click on the sim or their phone?

Sorry to say I have the same problem if I go to Uni with Traveler. Solution I have found? When I travel to the Uni I temporarily uninstall Traveler, and solved. Apart from the fact that it happens to me that if I have Traveler installed, the selection window of careers and weeks, it works very badly.
About the phone, I have seen this when my sim is in some Showtime career, especially in advanced levels, I don't know, starting from level 7 or close. My theory says that "something" is wrong with the link that my sim has with the owners. I have ever tried to remove through Register all the owners of the stages and nothing of this has happened. I throw the shows through DE, and I avoid the owners get stuck in there all day, is great.

Take it as a testament of the longevity of your mods, to still be relevant after so long a time. As long as the community stays true, I see this site lasting for many more years.

Ok, you were correct, it was NOT one of the NRAAS mods. I just ran the game with just your mods and things went perfectly. Now the question is which of the other mods did it. I had assumed that it was one of yours because I used Traveler and Relativity to lengthen the day/term, and that somehow it affected that event. Please forgive my presumption.
