Note that you will have to disable the auto-translate (menu on the Google Translate header at the top of the screen > open original URL) once you get to Yandex, otherwise the download doesn't start.

Thank you, CardinalSims, that explains why I never managed to download it. Your fix worked and I have finally been able to download and install the Package Viewer.

I managed to download the program, but I read over the instructions and I'm still confused how to use it to convert a .package file to a .world file

I assume you extracted the sims3pack of the world? isn't there already a . world file?

I am not in-game, you maybe need to enable
Show extension under explorer options, then just rename and replace the .package with .world.

.
You don't need any program to convert a .package file to a .world file. Just rename the file extension in Windows Explorer but make sure you can see the file extension in the first place. If you can't, you'll need to turn on file extensions in the View menu.

So, as an example, "Cloverdale.package" with its extension renamed, becomes "Cloverdale.world". If you get a message asking if you're sure, just click "Yes".
