I just had to reset my laptop, was looking for some of my bookmarks and could NOT find the sims forums! That forum has disappeared from google search. There were tons of EA help links and links to forums I've never heard of that haven't been active in years. Strange.
Maybe someone here could up the search rankings (however that is done) so that when people are looking for Sims 3 help this forum would come up?
Why are the official forums hid?

Wait, you are asking us to impact EA's Google search rankings for EA's TS3 forum and remove what appears to be a block on getting Google search results from that forum as prior? I don't think it is in the power of anyone here to do that.
Maybe I misunderstood the question/request.

No I was asking that THIS forum, NRaas, be upped in the Google search results so people will actually get some help when they have questions about Sims 3 since the official forum is now unfindable. Sorry, looking back on my post I wasn't very clear about which 'this' forum I meant.
Edit: The question was just wondering why it was hidden, not expecting it to be unhidden. Sorry.

Oh, yes that is not how I read it initially. But have you seen the types of people who hang out on the official forums and are you seriously suggesting that we want more of them over here? Disgusting...
(of course I am not being serious and I probably have almost as many posts over there through the years as I do here; well, not quite but it has to be in the thousands)
What we don't want/need is to set ourselves up as a general TS3 Help Desk/place for players who do not use mods and have no interest in even trying them. They wouldn't really be best served by being taken here. that's what Answers.HQ is for, and some will tend to lecture us about how mods are unnecessary, illegal, break games, contribute to global climate change, and all kinds of wondrous things we don't especially need to entertain.
But in the end we really have to leave things up to our webmaster and resident SEO expert, Chain.

I HAVE seen those types of people that hang out at that forum and I happen to be one of them too. I do miss the 'good old days' in the Sims 3 section where the adults hung out and politely made fun of the naughty entitled kids playing the other game. Hehe. I also remember you politely helping those of us even with the most (looking back on it) stupid questions with a good deal of grace.
I didn't consider that there are still die hard 'no mods' players out there who would not be helped by this forum or perhaps even offended at the suggestion of mods so on second thought not a great idea.
