Story Progression Wont Show Up?

Post by kakashijewel » January 2nd, 2024, 4:07 am

Hello! I have been a long time nraas user and today I experienced some of my nraas mods not showing up...
I started a new file and none of my nraas mods would show up except for master controller.
after some file moving and making sure every thing is updated Story Progression refuses to show up in the script mod pop up and when I click on my sims it also does not appear. It is in my folder with the rest of my nraas mods and I also deleted it and put a new download of story progression in. I have cleared my cache and everything I have also ran Delphys dashboard just in case.
Also I should note I went to an older save where all of my mods worked and story progression also doesn't show up there.
Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone know how to fix this?
Any help would be appreciated!

Please make sure you have the StoryProgression base mod, and not just one of the add-ons. If that doesn't help, please let us know what kind of install this is—EA App, Steam, disc, or something else—and what game version number you see in the lower-left corner of the launcher.

IN addition to the above, we do need to know the install type and patch level, there's something else worth checking on.

In your TS3 user game folder in Documents where you are putting your mods, there will be a file called DeviceConfig.log. Depending on your operating system prefs it may show as just DeviceConfig, but it's the same file either way. If you right-click on it and do Properties, does the modification date/time exactly match the last time you started up the game? If you aren't sure, then close out all the windows and start up the game. The modification date/time on that file should instantly update. If it's stale, that means you have another TS3 game folder someplace that is being read from and the one you have the SP mod added into is being ignored.. OneDrive, if you have that activated, can be a common hiding place for extra unwanted game folders because sometimes the game cannot tell the difference between the user Documents folder and the OneDrive folder by the same name.

Another possibility is that you aren't letting the game clock run forward smoothly, it does take a few sim minutes, before checking for the presence of SP. It and other Script Mods won't always show immediately upon the game launching with the game clock paused. That's less likely the issue since you are seeing MC load properly, but seems worth mentioning.

UPDATE: Sorry I'm a dingus I updated a mod recently (Enhanced Vampires) I took that out and now nraas is working again. Has anyone else experienced this? I have never had a mod disable nraas like that before. So I assumed there was something wrong with my game. Sorry for worrying y'all.

do you mean this?
https://modthesims.info/d/648599/enhanc ... 12-22.html

Do you read the requirements and have
Battery's C# Script Utility mod
installed too?

If this mod has something to do with the issue, it would be weird, because the creator even recommended Nraas mods.

But hopefully Chain_Reaction has a clue.
