Switching to Linux

I've been having various issues with Windows 10 lately that are finally prompting me to switch over to Linux - the only thing holding me back is being sure TS3 will work, as it can be temperamental enough on the OS it's designed for. Does anyone have experience making this switch and keeping TS3 + mods intact? Much appreciated if you do

I don't have any experience with Linux, but I think some other users may have.

What problems do you have with windows 10 and Sims 3? I can't say that I have any.
