The only mod stopping your Sims from traveling to the abyss. Did you end up there anyway? We'll try to help.

Hi, I have recently downloaded the mod. Looked into it and began to set the proper settings and parameters needed for my large household, as I downloaded the mod to visit the world an island paradise pack. But as my household traveled there for five days, my once married sims weren’t anymore and all their children were almost at acquaintances in relationships bar. My sims couldn’t even share the same bed. I traveled home thinking the issue would be solved but it did nothing. Is there anything I can do? Luckily I have a backup save file before they left but I’m not sure if this is an exclusive traveler issue, as I have other Nraas mods.

That sounds like a peculiar issue and not one I've heard of Traveler causing. This was done by the 'Travel' option on the phone and not EA's 'Move to New World', correct?

My suggestions would be:
1. Double check the Mod Compatibility Announcement to ensure you aren't running the game with a conflicting mod that may have disrupted the travel process.
2. Restore the Traveler settings to default with the 'Total Reset' option and attempt the vacation again to confirm if it happens without the changes you made.

I promise I used the travel option as I used return home to get back to my sims home world, I only have Nraas mods and I try my best to keep up with the updates! I had completed reset from master controller and traveler and nothing changed.

It was like when they were visiting they were living there. They were able to sell things on the house boat that was “rented” although no rent was taken out. Overall a weird process unfortunately!

Hi there. This is not at all the typical player experience with Traveler, in particular when no mods from other sources are present to obstruct things. But basically it sounds like you had a travel transition soft-failure happening on the outgoing trip (as opposed to a hard failure that would crash your game, but can't be much consolation right now).

Are NRaas ErrorTrap and Overwatch in play? They do work together with Traveler to help ensure that errors during the transitions and upon arrival are handled properly. Is ErrorTrap producing any script error logs upon attempted travel and entry to other worlds that we should see?

And, sorry to ask, but what is the source and install type of your game? Origin/EA App, Steam, retail store discs (and if so, which patch level are you on), and/or is this one of the Mac versions of the game? Or is it from someplace else?

EA app, I had the disk a long time ago on Origin and I've moved and quit the game a few times since. I believe patch 1.67? The only other thing I can think of since I’ve been trying to solve this on my own is the smoothness patch from lazy Dutchess? Along with the sims fixes. I hadn’t heard of them conflicting and thought they should work together. So I apologize if this is out of your rage of help, and appreciate your time! As for what you mentioned, I do have ErrorTrap installed but not Overwatch I found a script error but it doesn't read much. I am trying to attach and it wont let me, so ill copy and patse what it says.

It's really difficult to try and troubleshoot a game where the Smoothness Patch is in play. As the Announcement linked to above states, the MC component of the latest (2.x) version is totally not compatible with NRaas mods. Without the MC component, there is still a risk of things that are supposed be sped up by the patch actually happening out of their intended order and travel transitions can be very susceptible to behind the scenes scripted events misfiring.

I would definitely suggest finding a way to remove the patch, or rather undoing the changes it makes to the Program Files and seeing what impact that has on this travel transition.

I also suggest having Overwatch in play.

As for the script error, I think we are getting that message out of context a bit and we really need to see the full contents of the script error log file. You can share that with us by (not opening the file) dragging and dropping its file icon onto a response here. If that doesn't work, then perhaps you could upload the file(s) to a third party file host and provide us with a link that grants us access.
