I use OnceRead since I find it annoying that sims (especially book sims) autonomously reread books that they've read. Of course I have the OnceRead Tablet as well since I got the store multitab and want to extend that feature to sims with tablets as well so no annoying bookworms will be rereading 24/7 using the tablet too.

However, I noticed that the tablet got all skills AND all books (I remember only having base game + WA skills and only books my sim owned). I don't remember whether it was like this before I had this mod as well and couldnt find any description on the OnceRead Tablet mod it just said "Replaces the "Read" interaction available on the EA Premium Content "MultiTab 6000" with a.." and nothin else. So my question if its this mod that unlocks both of these things?

The skill unlocks I appreciate since it make the multitab updated to cover all expansions. However, I find that having all books kinda takes away the necessity to purchase them, so if it this mod that unlocks em' all, is it possible to remove this feature and only be able to read books my sim owns?

I think this explains what you are seeing.

Perhaps someone with a better memory than mine (as this is one of the few NRaas mods I don't actually use b/c it always conflcits with something else I have in play) can explain the logic behind this feature for us.

thanks! Yeah there it seems it unlocks for all skills + seems like the latest update also makes it able to read all books. Unfortunately doesnt seem its a tuneable change.

ohh what does it usually conflict with? Cause I use the nraas pocketprotector to fix that bug w it getting deleted when used by npcs so I hope its not that one.

Did you seriously just ask if two totally different NRaas mods conflict with each other? That's it, go stand in the corner and think about what you just said. I may release you from timeout for dinner and to do your homework before bed, if I'm feeling charitable (and I haven't forgotten this entire conversation by then, which is also a strong possibility).

No, it's a couple of JunJayMdM's mods that render OnceRead redundant on tablets. He was also the NRaas developer who last updated OnceRead and even he recommends not using the tablet module together with his mods. I can't remember now if I removed the base mod because it also conflicted with something else I have or I just didn't care for the effects it had generally.

Nah but I use the EA App so store content for me are package format for now so I had to put the pocketprotector in the overrides to override the multitab in package etc so well.. I guess maybe something would be off with the onceread tablet module but.. yeah.. I will not question the NRaas again

Aha, I'll have a look at those mods! Tbh 80% its fine for them to reread just with some sims, especially bookworms...they get insane.
