SimsDisallowLTW error?

Post by StormyDayz » June 25th, 2023, 4:17 pm

I started getting this error after returning from vacation. Since it mentioned LTW I decided to try to use the reward to change LTW and it doesn't work, I went back to the save before she traveled home and the error doesn't appear and I can purchase the reward. Any idea what is causing it would be helpful.

You have a fish in a bowl or a tank somewhere that's either corrupt or you've installed an out of date ingredients tuning mod that is wiping it's data.

SimsDisallowLTW error?

Post by CardinalSims » June 29th, 2023, 8:04 pm

Firstly, the Smooth Patch package is not compatible with the NRAAS suite as mentioned here. Many users here opt to use only the manually installed parts of that mod without the packages.

Secondly, the thing that would stand out to me most (if it's not caused by the former) is the use of the New Lifetime Goals mod, being the most related to LTWs. Worth testing without it.
A lot of routine things happen during travel that the mod may not have been tested with, or at least not playing well with Traveler's versions of those.

Ah, thank you for letting me know about that. I had no idea.

I forgot to mention in the above post that I was getting that error with only Nraas mods installed. As to the error I was getting, I ended up changing hometowns and haven't had any problems since then. Before I left the original hometown, I changed everyone who had that aspiration to a different one and when I vacationed back there it no longer showed up so I think that it might have been an issue with one of the townies.

In regards to the New Lifetime Goals mod, the only issue I've seen with Traveler is that if you complete a LTW while on vacation it gives you the points and allows you to choose a new LTW but when arriving home the mod doesn't recognize that you completed it. Meaning, it's on the list of possible choices when you complete another. Normally it only shows the ones you haven't completed on the list. So you either have to switch hometowns or complete it at home for it to be recognized.

Ohmygosh I hadn't even thought of that! Yes, I did remove the fish tank before I moved I guess that's why I didn't get the error anymore when I went back there on vacation. I never would have guessed that. Thanks.
