Game clock stops

Post by 310175 » May 13th, 2023, 3:29 pm

Ah, I don't have Awesomemod.
However, I found a 1923kb large Error trap file from yesterday. I'm uploading it.
Removing the activities didn't help.
Removing simler90's mod didn't help.
I deleted the cache files every time, in case you are wondering.
It now stops every time at 7am when my sim wakes up. The game loads at 5ish am.

That's the alarm dump we were looking for. We'll have to wait to see what Chain finds in it that may be of concern.

But at 7am precisely, it's entirely possible that some sim being animated somewhere in town is spinning into a "bad" outfit for work/school, though that's really a wild guess on my part based on time of day.

Edit: Oh, it was a Saturday when that alarm dump ran wasn't it. So probably not school, then. Not surprisingly, there are a lot of things scheduled to happen at around 6:59-7:00,

I was hoping to play today. Do you have any advice on this? How would I find a bad outfit?

First try a test run with no CC. The game will make substitutions where CC outfits are used, sometimes with goofy choices, but this is just meant to be a test and not to be played forward. If the problem persists then that wasn't it, but if it clears up then it becomes a matter of narrowing down your CC to try to isolate it.

Ok, I removed all adult and elder CC clothes from the game. It still stops in the morning for this game. I started a fresh game in Sunset Valley and let it run for 24 sim hours also without the CC clothes and the clock didn't stop.

So, based on that I'm guessing it's this particular game. It happened in earlier saves of this game as well, but I "saved as" anyway.
Unless you guys have some other advice, I guess I have to go way back to a save when it didn't happen. It is a difficult start for my Mob legacy, I must say....;)

Update.
I went back to an earlier save, about 1 sim week earlier and there is definitely something happening at around 7am. Even when the clock doesn't completely stop, it stops and then jumps to about 20 minutes later. Always at 7am or 6:59am.

And when I'm back on Saturday, the clock stops completely. There is no large error trap file anymore, though. I'll upload the most recent one. Tons of out of World Objects.

This could be something as simple (but difficult to determine where they are) as you have too many spawners on various lots in this ongoing world set to go off at around the same time early in the morning. A fresh instance of any properly performing world would not have nearly so many. But again, we need Chain_Reaction to interpret the alarm dump for us.

The current script log is a (long) correction log and is not showing us actual errors. It is, however, showing us that Simler90's mod is still in play. We can't really work around that. Was this put back into or left in play by mistake, maybe?

I put it back in since it didn't seem to be the culprit. Sorry!

There could be more than one factor causing the game overload at the same sim time in that world each morning. I would recommend keeping the mod out...well, entirely as has already been said many different ways, but certainly during this troubleshooting phase.

I saw the core mod and zoned out of the thread. It's difficult to say what is going on with so many mods installed. You have a few alarms from script mods going off at 7am. Try with just NRaas mods installed and see if the freeze happens.
